Page Street Fit — San Francisco
It’s that group of crazy people running around on Page Street 🏃
--
Hi! Thanks for checking out Page Street Fit (PSF). PSF is a fitness & social community, run entirely outdoors on Page Street between Lyon & Baker Streets in San Francisco. Originally started as a way to connect with friends through fitness during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been operating from our new location on Page Street since August 2021.
The classes (attendance average = 25–30) are typically separated into two sections for a total of one hour:
- Accessory: This is most commonly a barbell lift of some kind i.e. back squat, front squat, dead lift, bench press, push press, etc.
- WOD (Workout of the Day): This is typically a circuit workout designed to get your heart rate up, lasting anywhere from 12–30 minutes of work. These circuits feature anywhere from 2–5 different movements and are done in the street. Thankful for the Slow Street Program 🙏!
The PSF community (~150+ & growing!) is wonderfully diverse and our participants come from all walks of life, parts of the city, and a variety of skill / experience levels. As such, we make sure we can provide scalable movement options for everyone. We manage all communications, attendance and scheduling via Heylo.
Finally, we have been logging our workouts since October 2021 (see AirTable gallery below). Aaron and I develop all the workout programming ourselves and would love to know what you think or if you find any of these ideas helpful.
