Thanks for reading and happy you found it useful! I did not personally check out Lone Pine Camp, though I saw others heading that way. That being said, I saw a number of worthy campsites by Pat Springs that are further up the ridge. A bit further from the water, but you'd be fine as long as you filled up before going to set up camp. Pat Springs is a really ridiculously beautiful spot and I would recommend trying to stay there if you can.
